According to the German journalist, Arsenal are willing to spend 70 million for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice in the face of interest from Man Utd and Bayern Munich.

Rice is being pursued by many clubs before this summer transfer window. He is on the market as West Ham are doomed to let him go before next season.

The midfielder has been one of the Premier League's standout performers in recent seasons and he is likely to join one of Europe's biggest clubs in the near future.

The England international has been placed at the top of Arsenal's transfer wish list as one of his priorities is strengthening midfield. Bayern Munich have emerged as potential suitors for Rice, with coach Thomas Tuchel being a huge admirer of the 24-year-old.

Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg reports that Bayern Munich have yet to make an offer for Rice, but are "preparing next steps".

The club's hierarchy 'wants to make Tuchel's wish come true' but must first decide 'what to offer in the first round'. The German side are also said to 'know that Arsenal should be willing to pay around 70m for Rice'.

A separate report by Roshane Thomas, Laurie Whitwell and Jordan Campbell for The Athletic claims West Ham 'values ??Rice at 100m'. His pursuers won't insure him on the cheap. West Ham value Rice at 100m and will be reluctant to sanction his departure unless a club meets their asking price.

The report adds:

"Rice will bring a level of fitness and aggressiveness to Arsenal's midfield that they currently lack, but his ability to keep the ball should not be underestimated."

He flourished in a team with less possession than at West Ham, where his reading of the game and powerful runs stood out. At England level, however, he needs to be more influential, playing under pressure and finding his attackers amid a crowded defence.

The 24-year-old will be an upgrade for Thomas Partey in a starting role at Arsenal. His physical features mean that coach Mikel Arteta can play with two attacking-minded eights knowing he has someone who can split play and cover large areas. of the field behind the ball.

"Adding to the pool of English players already at the club such as Aaron Ramsdale, Ben White, Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah will also help forge improved relationships with supporters."
