Many Man Utd fans blame goalkeeper David De Gea for letting City score their second last Saturday at Wembley Stadium, but I don't think David De Gea should be blamed for that.

The reason I don't think David De Gea should be blamed for the second goal in Man City's game last Saturday at Wembley Stadium is because; he can't do anything about it.

When Kevin De Bruyne passed the cross and Ikay Gundogan made his first volley, you could see the ball bounce on the way to the goal post and it was really hard for a competitive goalkeeper to stop a bouncing ball. .

Erik ten Hag could reunite with another of his former players at Manchester United this summer.

Erik ten Hag may be lucky enough to reunite with another of his former players at Manchester United this summer, according to reports. But the Dutchman may have to end transfer negotiations with another goal in mind as he considers strengthening the defense in his second season as manager.

According to Kicker, Noussair Mazraoui wants to leave Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window after falling out of favor with Thomas Tuchel.

The 25-year-old right-back left Ajax with Ten Hag last summer, signing a four-year deal to join Bayern on a free transfer. But he has started just 11 Bundesliga games this season as a rotating player under Julian Nagelsmann and Tuchel.

And the report claims he will not accept being an alternative next season, setting the stage for a departure from the Allianz Arena.

United have been linked with a number of right-backs ahead of the summer transfer window and are expected to rekindle their interest in Ajax's Jurrien Timber.

United's reports of interest in a new right-back suggest the Dutchman is keen to improve Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka if his budget allows.

This is despite Dalot having recently signed a new contract at Old Trafford until 2028.

And, according to BILD, United are in "fairly progressive" talks to sign Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen.

He is said to prefer a move to United over Real Madrid and can provide the attacking quality that Wan-Bissaka lacks.

But Mazraoui's new availability may prompt Ten Hag to mend their relationship after enjoying success together in the Netherlands. Man Utd are in 'senior' talks for Jeremie Frimpong.

Wan-Bissaka's improvement and United's uncertain budget amid the club's takeover could leave the right-back area untouched this summer.

And Frimpong seems to be at the top of Ten Hag's list if the Reds can get into the upgrade market.

However, Mazraoui could be an attractive proposition, as well as a cheaper alternative to Frimpong and Timber. That said, a goalkeeper, centre-back, midfielder and forward is also considered higher in Ten Hag's priorities. A move for a right-back in the coming months is unlikely.
