It will not operate as usual next season after the end of this season's tournament. Manchester City, who won the Emirates Cup yesterday against Manchester United, were crowned champions of the recently concluded season. However, a lot of fun was witnessed with the teams, especially the lesser known but performing well. Some teams that have done very well are Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle.

However, there are teams like Chelsea that haven't had a pleasant season and that has led to some leadership changes being made. Chelsea have sacked a number of coaches, but now they have Mariuce Pochetinho, who will take over from Lampard's wing.

However, there is still the possibility of signing new players and this has led to the possibility of forming a team. The formation looks dangerous enough to be a major threat to the enemy from analysis alone.

One of Manchester United's biggest summer goals is to secure an extension for Marcus Rashford.

A year ago, there would have been a lot of disagreement among fans if a contract extension had been announced for Marcus Rashford. After a five-goal season, he doesn't deserve it.

Looking back, this past summer may have been the time when MU bought cheap and extended Rashford's contract, but it was one of the factors that made this striker's 2022/23 campaign so special.

A highly motivated Rashford is having his best season with 30 goals, while also winning the Player of the Year award. Manchester City vs Manchester United:

There have been mid-season reports of Rashford's contract being sacked by the player. The Daily Star claims he is keeping a salary of £400,000 a week.

Rashford featured on social media, writing:

“Can we stop making up these stories? My goal and the club's goal is to hopefully be in the Champions League this season. This is not helpful. THANK."

With the season over, Marcus Rashford no longer considers contract negotiations a distraction.

And a report over the weekend The Sun claimed a deal was only a matter of time.

Citing an unnamed source, the report states:

"Marcus is staying at United. He's been waiting to see if the club are in the Champions League and now that they have, he's happy.

"He loves playing for Ten Hag and thinks he has delivered on all his promises. Both sides want the same thing, which is that Marcus signs a contract and stays at United for many more years.

Well, now is the time for the club, players and their representatives to sit down and discuss new terms to reach an agreement.

United don't want that to extend into next season, or even threaten pre-season preparations. It is just as important as reaching an agreement for any new signing.

Rashford is in charge at this point. His contract expires in June 2024 and United do not want him to leave. The club will do everything possible to maintain his service and any new owners will consider an extension very important.

For an academy player to come through and finish as top scorer with 30 goals and win player of the year is priceless. When it's done, it's an announcement all fans want to see.
