It's no secret that United need reinforcements up front and the 24-year-old is one of the players on Erik ten Hag's radar.
Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen and Rasmus Hojlund are just some of the names on Erik ten Hag's sights, with Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani also being watched.
The 24-year-old Frenchman has had a stellar campaign in Germany's top flight, scoring 23 goals and providing 17 assists in 46 games in all competitions.
Admitting earlier this week that it is his dream to one day play in the Premier League, not only are United tracking the striker but Paris Saint-Germain are also interested. Can be deployed on the flanks or in the middle, his positional flexibility could be a great fit for the Reds. Here at the Manchester Evening News, we looked at three ways United could line up next season if they secure the signing of Kolo Muani.
guide
While Kolo Muani can play in a variety of roles, United are looking for someone to lead their attack and the youngster is certainly capable of leading the charge on his own. His goalscoring record in the Bundesliga this season has been impressive and so he could be the man United need to ease the burden on Marcus Rashford.
exit right
While United have left the door open for Anthony Martial to leave the club this summer, Ten Hag is a huge admirer of the Frenchman and once described him as the perfect striker. If Martial can convince Ten Hag that he deserves to stay at the club, Kolo Muani could be asked to play wide on the right of United's attack. That is the position the 24-year-old has played for Frankfurt this season, and will probably provide vital competition for Antony ahead of the 2023/23 campaign.
Ten Hag rarely chose to play two-man during his first year at United, though that could be due to his lack of options as well as an aversion to intrigue.
As mentioned, Martial looks like his future could be a long way off at Old Trafford and with Wout Weghorst's move to the club not made permanently, Ten Hag is unlikely to choose to play with two forwards. even if he wants to. However, with Rashford already proving he can play in midfield and Martial's ability yet to be confirmed, Kolo Muani could find himself up front with an attacking partner when United look for more goals.
