Here are your Manchester United headlines for Monday evening, June 5.

Diogo Costa finally speaks out about United transfer rumors.

Diogo Costa, the Portugal goalkeeper, has stated that he 'hopes to continue' at Porto despite interest from Manchester United.

Costa is widely expected to leave Portugal before the start of the upcoming season, with reports linking him to a move to Old Trafford. David de Gea's future at Manchester United is uncertain following many gaffes this season. The Spaniard's contract expires this month, but a renewal with reduced terms is expected. Erik ten Hag, on the other hand, declined to name him his No. 1 next season, stating that he wants competition in all areas of the team.

Ibrahimovic responds to a message from United following his retirement announcement

Following his retirement from professional football, Manchester United paid tribute to former forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The 41-year-old retires after collecting 34 championships, including 14 league crowns with AC Milan last season.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic only stayed in Manchester for two years after joining from Jose Mourinho's team in July 2016. He won the League Cup and the Europa League during his stint at Old Trafford.

Manchester United's changing roomRasmus Hojlund is "keen on a move" to Manchester United, according to Fabrizio Romano, who has had "conversations" with people close to the forward.

In the summer transfer window, United are expected to add a central striker. Wout Weghorst appeared to be simply a stopgap in the position, which was evidently reinforced by his failure to score a Premier League goal in 17 games.

While Erik ten Hag has refused to rule out a permanent deal, he would almost certainly not be a starting up top if he did.

Indeed, after a successful season in which United won the League Cup, reached the FA Cup final, and finished third in the Premier League, adding a world-class striker could be beneficial. The Old Trafford outfit is interested in a few big names.

Harry Kane appears to be the key one, after a 30-goal season in a faltering Tottenham side suggested a move was imminent. But, with Spurs 'adamant' about not selling to a Premier League competitor, that snare is certainly difficult to avoid.

Victor Osimhen of Napoli is another strongly linked striker. However, after scoring 26 goals in a title-winning season, the Italian club reportedly valued him at 150 million, and the Red Devils are ready to walk away.Hojlund of Atalanta is a more attainable aim. The 20-year-old Dane has only played one season in a top-five European league, but he impressed with nine goals and four assists.

Hojlund grants the go-ahead following United negotiations.

United have been connected with him for a few months and are putting out feelers to see if they can close the deal, according to transfer insider Romano.
