Harry Kane has been advised by Sergio Ramos not to pass up the chance to play for Real Madrid.

Despite the possibility of losing his top player for nothing the next year, Tottenham owner Daniel Levy is reluctant to see the England captain depart this summer. Manchester United are also interested in signing the captain.

The Paris Saint-Germain defender Ramos, a former captain of Real Madrid who spent 16 trophy-filled years at the Santiago Bernabeu, has some words of wisdom for the Tottenham star.

He reportedly remarked, according to the Mirror, "My advice to any player is don't turn down the opportunity to play for Real Madrid – it is a special club who know how to win."

You cannot score as many goals as Kane does in the Premier League and not be able to play the physical side of the game because of his amazing physical presence.

But he can also play the technical aspects of the game, and I don't think that gets him enough credit.

Yes, he is a fantastic goal scorer, but he is also a fantastic football player.

Ramos, who has amassed 22 awards throughout his career with the club, including five LaLiga championships and four Champions League medals, is better acquainted than most with the influence Madrid wields in the European game.

However, despite being one of the best players in the league, Kane has yet to receive a trophy.

In contrast, despite being one of the best strikers in the world, Kane has yet to win a trophy.

Benzema, in Ramos' opinion, is irreplaceable, thus whoever Madrid looks to sign should accept the pressure of doing so.

What you do need to do, however, is bring in a capable forward who can come in and score goals, the 37-year-old added. Since there is so much pressure and expectation, not everyone can play for Real Madrid; the proper player must be chosen.

The president of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, is reportedly going to try to negotiate a lower price for the Englishman, despite Tottenham's plans to stand firm on the star player.

Sources told Mail Sport on Sunday that Levy will offer Madrid a minimum starting price of £100 million for Kane.

However, there is reportedly opportunity for negotiation, and Real Madrid is eager to test that with this reported initial offer of £69 million (€80 million).

Levy is clear that he does not want to sell his club's best asset to a domestic rival, despite Manchester United's interest.

As a result, Real Madrid has leverage to negotiate a cheaper price of less than £100 million because they are aware that Levy has no interest in working with another English team.
