Sir Alex Ferguson told Jose Mourinho to sign one player during his spell at Man United
Jose Mourinho once revealed Sir Alex Ferguson told him to sign a player for Manchester United, praising his mentality.
Mourinho led Man United from May 2016 to December 2018 and received transfer advice from the legendary boss when he arrived at Old Trafford.
Ferguson, who retired in 2013, gave the Portuguese manager advice during his two-and-a-half years at the club.

Buy Dele Alli. Mourinho failed to bring the player to United but managed the midfielder during his time at Tottenham. In a clip from Amazon's 'All or Nothing' series, the current AS Roma coach complains to chairman Daniel Levy about Alli.
“I told Dele straight that he was not training well, he was not a good coach.
"I'm not saying disaster, but I'm not saying Harry Kane either. Harry Kane is a very good coach."
Mourinho added:
“Sir Alex Ferguson gave me only one piece of advice for two and a half years:
Buy Dele Alli. “This guy, with this mentality, the way he plays, the aggression he has in his head. This guy is a Manchester United player. Buy Dele Alli'.
"And he [Ferguson] has his eye on a player. But he [Alli] is not a good coach, we have to find motivation for him."
Alli, who starred for MK Dons in their tough win over Man United in the 2014 EFL Cup, has signed for Spurs after impressing in League One.
He was a regular for Spurs for the first three seasons and then fell into a slump before taking a serious turn in his career.
He left Spurs to join Everton but failed to make a big impact and then signed for Besiktas on loan, where he failed to make an impression.
