The 30-year-old international for England has been a Manchester United loanee.
Goalkeeper Jack Butland has signed a four-year contract to join Rangers from Crystal Palace, the club has announced.
Butland will formally transfer to Ibrox on July 1 after receiving international clearance, having most recently been on loan at Manchester United.
After first-choice goalkeeper Allan McGregor announced his retirement at the end of the season, the 30-year-old has signed on. Robby McCrorie and Jon McLaughlin are still bound by their contracts.
Butland told the Rangers' official website, "I'm over the moon." "The club is self-evident. You are familiar with Rangers Football Club regardless of where you play football. For me, this is a tremendous opportunity, so I'm thrilled to be here.
"At my age, I feel fantastic and motivated, and I'm looking forward to what the future brings. It meant a lot to me to do it at a team that shares my enthusiasm for success and being at the top.
"This summer is significant for the club, so we must start strong. It's crucial to finish the task ahead of time so that we can return to the office settled and ready to work.
Butland joins Kieran Dowell and Dujon Sterling as recent additions to the Rangers roster, and manager Michael Beale is pleased to get a player with the experience of a goalkeeper.

With 300 professional football matches, including nearly 90 in the Premier League, he has already accumulated a significant amount of experience and is entering his prime years of play at the age of 30.

"I believe we have hired an outstanding goalkeeper and, more importantly, a great individual. We are happy to see Jack and his little family arrive in Glasgow and are eager to watch him succeed while playing for Rangers.
