Goalkeeper Jack Butland has signed a four-year contract to join Rangers from Crystal Palace, the club has announced.
Butland will formally transfer to Ibrox on July 1 after receiving international clearance, having most recently been on loan at Manchester United.
After first-choice goalkeeper Allan McGregor announced his retirement at the end of the season, the 30-year-old has signed on. Robby McCrorie and Jon McLaughlin are still bound by their contracts.
Butland told the Rangers' official website, "I'm over the moon." "The club is self-evident. You are familiar with Rangers Football Club regardless of where you play football. For me, this is a tremendous opportunity, so I'm thrilled to be here.
"At my age, I feel fantastic and motivated, and I'm looking forward to what the future brings. It meant a lot to me to be able to do it at a team that shares my enthusiasm for success.For the club, this summer is crucial, therefore we must start strong. It's crucial to finish the task ahead of time so that we can return to the office settled and ready to work.
Butland joins Kieran Dowell and Dujon Sterling as recent additions to the Rangers roster, and manager Michael Beale is pleased to get a player with the experience of a goalkeeper.
