Man City's right back Kyle Walker has allayed concerns that a back ailment would cause him to miss the Champions League final.
In order to continue its preparations for Saturday's match against Inter Milan in Istanbul, City held an open training session on Tuesday without the England international.
The 33-year-old appeared uncomfortable when he was replaced in the waning seconds of City's victory over Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley.
Walker, meanwhile, who was one of several players made available for interviews with the media later on Tuesday, said the issue was not significant.
He told Sky Sports News, "I'm fine, I'm just getting older." "I'm absolutely OK; it just takes a little longer to recuperate.
The manager advised me to stay inside because I had been playing a lot of minutes over the previous few weeks. Come Saturday, he continued, "You will be ready to go."
"I'm good. During the minutes that I was on the field when everyone else was hurt, I dug in and made it through. I have no intention of skipping the Champions League championship game.
Walker's absence from practice, according to manager Pep Guardiola, was only preventative.
At a press conference, Guardiola stated, "He has had a disturbance in his back." "He wasn't doing well yesterday; he was a little bit better today, but we didn't want to take any chances. We'll monitor what transpires throughout the next days.
Additionally, they want to forget their excruciating loss to Chelsea in the 2021 championship game.
Inter has more European experience because they have won three times, but City will enter the game as clear favorites over the team that placed third in Serie A this year.
Guardiola, however, is adamant that the history, and even the present form, are irrelevant at this point.
It's really fantastic to travel to Istanbul in a few days, he remarked. It is a dream to be here, therefore we travel together. We were there two years ago with Covid, but our circumstances were different.
"We're going to try our best, and we know the outcome is determined by how you act during that particular 95 minutes, not by history.
