After Paul Sheerin volunteered to take on the role of Derek McInnes' assistant, Alan Archibald joined the Kilmarnock backroom team.

Sheerin, a former manager of Arbroath who also oversaw the first team's development squad, succeeds Docherty, who has been named the next manager of Dundee after years of collaboration with McInnes.

Archibald, a former manager and assistant at Partick Thistle, comes from Motherwell, where he spent a brief time as the team's main development coach, leading the reserve team.

From the under-18s, Craig Clark has advanced to the first team as technical coach and director of academy coaching.

Chris Burke, a former winger for Killie, is now in charge of the Under-18 team.

Paul has been a significant component of my team for a number of years, making him the ideal choice for assistant manager, according to McInnes, who played with Archibald at Dundee United.He will enable us to maintain a crucial level of continuity, but it's also vital to rotate the backroom crew after a while.Alan will bring a new viewpoint to the team and is someone I know very well as well. His record of player development is consistent with the long-term goals we have for the club.Additionally, we are fortunate to have Craig and Chris as two of our very excellent young coaches. It's critical that their development is acknowledged, and I'm thrilled that they've chosen to sign with Kilmarnock.
