Real Madrid intend to keep Brahim Diaz as a main part of their squad for next season. According to Fabrizio Romano, Los Blancos will extend his contract and present him to fans as a new signing before the new season begins.
Romano said the proposed contract with Diaz will keep him at Real Madrid until the summer of 2027. All documents are ready to be signed.
Diaz performed very well during his two-year loan spell with AC Milan, helping them win the Italian league and reach the semi-finals of the Champions League in his second year. He has scored 18 goals and 15 assists in 124 appearances for Milan.
Reports in Spain suggest that Real Madrid intend to replace Marco Asensio with a 23-year-old attacking midfielder who can also play on the wing.
Real Madrid signed Diaz from Manchester City in 2019 for 17 million euros. However, he has never actually featured in the Los Blancos first team since then.
