The Gers manager is retooling his team this summer in an effort to compete with Celtic, the domestic treble champions.

Michael Beale is searching the Rangers academy for athletes who can contribute both on and off the field.

The Gers boss is retooling his team this summer in an effort to compete with domestic treble winners Celtic, but there aren't many assets that can be sold off.

In January 2022, Rangers reportedly paid 12 million to sell Nathan Patterson, a promising young player, to Everton.

In contrast to defender and fellow Nigerian international Calvin Bassey, who was hired from Leicester in 2020, Joe Aribo, who was acquired from Charlton in 2019, was sold to Southampton last summer for a rumoured value of 6 million.

Beale, the manager of the Gers, told Sky Sports Scotland that the Ibrox club needed to increase revenue while maintaining successful outcomes.

Everyone just wants you to win, he added. I need to succeed in order to bring stability, harmony, and players who I believe can develop over the course of the next two or three years to the club.

"That if they perform well, there is a value placed on their head as well, and if they do well, we can trade for them and start again by bringing in new players.

"If we look at the past 12 to 14 months, Calvin Bassey, Joe Aribo, and Nathan Patterson all left the building for an estimated cost of less than 500,000.

It was wonderful for the financing we brought in, but a conveyor belt needs to be placed behind it.

"It's critical that my connections with the academy are solid in order to create a roadmap.

"This year, we've got a number of academy guys on the field, but who will stay in?

"Who will remain a mainstay? Who will be a star player for the Rangers?

"When you play, the spectators and the outside media simply observe every three to five days.

"They'll judge success by whether they win, lose, or tie. I must succeed. The group must succeed. My team must succeed. But going forward, we also need to be sure to create a truly solid club.
