Fans of the Reds had prayed that they would add some new players to aid them through their troubles, and it appears that their prayers have been heard.

Alexis Mac Allister, a midfielder for Brighton, is reportedly close to joining Jurgen Klopp's team after the Argentine was seen undergoing his medical.

Additionally, additional action can be anticipated given the close ties to Khepren Thuram and Manu Kone, two French midfielders.

Therefore, Mail Sport has examined the possible starting lineup the Reds could use in the upcoming campaign.

GOALKEEPER

Alisson

Was the Brazilians' inclusion in this team ever in question? The 30-year-old had another strong season, with 14 Premier League shutouts.

He even managed to pick out Mohamed Salah in their match against City, who went on to score the game-winning goal, for one assist during the season.

Nothing has indicated that the Reds are looking for a new number one, and Alisson's position is secure because Caoimhin Kelleher is unlikely to pose a threat.

DEFENDERS

Trent Arnold Alexander

There is no questioning the England international's spot in Liverpool's starting lineup for the upcoming campaign, despite his inconsistent season.

Vincent van Dijk

Virgil van Dijk will not have happy memories of the 202223 season, much like Alexander-Arnold will not.

The Netherlands international appeared unbeatable at the back before the season began and was a major factor in his club's triumph.

The 31-year-old did, however, concede after a lackluster campaign that he had fallen short of expectations and deserved the criticism leveled at him.

The former Southampton and Celtic center defender cannot be replaced, despite all of his difficulties last season.

Isaac Konate

After Joel Matip's regular start was replaced, the Frenchman did well to gain a spot in Liverpool's first team the previous season.

The 24-year-old has demonstrated this by keeping seven clean sheets in his 18 Premier League games.

MIDFIELDERS

Prem Kheprem

Things start to become intriguing at this point. There have been rumors of a midfield makeover at Anfield, and Khephren Thuram of France might be the catalyst.

With money freed up by outgoings, L'Equipe reports that the club has started talks with Nice of Ligue 1 over a prospective trade for Thuram.

The 22-year-old, who is the brother of Borussia Mnchengladbach winger Marcus and the son of illustrious defender Lillian, is held in high regard.

Kone, Manu

While many people anticipate seeing well-known faces like Jordan Henderson or Fabinho, it's possible that Thuram will be seated next to a new person.

Manu Kone, a central midfielder for Mnchengladbach, who has been in discussions with the Reds about filling that position, is the player most likely to do so.
