Manchester United captain Harry Maguire is reportedly due to meet with Erik ten Hag next week to discuss his future prospects at Old Trafford ahead of a potential summer transfer. The £80million signing is now expected to depart Old Trafford after four seasons with the club as he seeks to prioritise regular playing time after losing his place in the Dutchman's starting XI - plunging his long-term international future into doubt.

Maguire was fortunate to remain in Gareth Southgate's England side at the World Cup in Qatar and although the former Leicester centre-back impressed at the tournament, he has failed to replicate his form at club level.

Now United are willing to cash in on the 30-year-old as they prepare a swoop for Napoli defender Kim Min-jae.

According to The Guardian, Maguire will meet with United boss Ten Hag next week to finalise his future plans.

It's thought the pair are likely to decide the best option moving forward is to part ways.

Should that be the case, the agreement will be amicable despite Maguire's frustrations over his lack of game time.

Tottenham have emerged as potential suitors for Maguire while it has also been speculated that he could be offered to Chelsea as part of a deal for Mason Mount.

Spurs are expected to be on the lookout for defensive reinforcements as they seek to embark on a new chapter under Ange Postecoglou.

The England defender is valued at close to £30m although United will be keen to recoup as much money as possible for the most-expensive defender of all-time.

Maguire has two years remaining on his current Old Trafford deal which also includes a one-year extension option.

West Ham and Aston Villa have also been loosely linked with Maguire in the past but it is currently unclear whether either are genuinely interested in his services.

Fellow defenders Eric Bailly and Alex Telles are also expected to be pushed towards the exit door.

Should Maguire's exit be finalised, the money United receive will aid the club's push for Napoli stalwart Min-jae.

The South Korea international was recently voted the Serie A Defender of the Year following his stunning debut season in Italy with the champions.

Next month, Min-jae has a £51m release clause that comes into play and United could seek to match that figure to beat Newcastle to the punch.

Elsewhere, United are focusing their efforts on strengthening their options in midfield and attack with talks for Mason Mount currently ongoing.

There is said to be some distance between what United are prepared to pay for Mount and Chelsea's £70m valuation.
