Following his tenure as interim manager, Steven Naismith was given a two-year deal to continue leading Hearts.
In order to comply with UEFA standards while Frankie McAvoy waits to receive his Pro Licence coaching certification, Naismith has been named technical director and McAvoy is the head coach. Gordon Forrest will continue to lead the first team.
The former footballer managed the Jambos for the remaining seven games of the campaign, keeping them in fourth place in the easy Premiership. He formerly played for Kilmarnock, Rangers, Everton, Norwich, and Hearts.
