Justin Kumi, a Ghanaian teenager born in Italy, has piqued the curiosity of a number of clubs throughout Europe, with Barcelona and PSV among those interested in the Sassuolo teenager.Since making his debut with the Neroverdi Primavera squad last season, the 18-year-old midfielder has impressed, having risen through their junior system.
Kumi joined Sassuolo from Serie D club Giorgione Jun in the summer of 2018 and has impressed the club, signing him to a three-year contract last summer.
According to TMW, Kumi's remarkable work with the Sassuolo Primavera side this season has piqued the interest of clubs like as SC Freiburg, Barcelona, and PSV.The interested parties are keeping a close eye on the talented adolescent and may make a play for him this summer.
Meanwhile, Kumi, who signed his first professional deal with the Italian club in August of last year, has confirmed his departure from the club at the end of the 2022/23 season.
Kumi expressed his gratitude to the club and his teammates who made his stint at the club memorable in a touching Instagram post."I don't even know where to start and what to write because I don't know if a right comment for this post exists and I never wanted to write it because we were all hoping for another ending," he wrote."I leave by saying thank you, thank you for so many things, for including me in this family, for allowing me to experience the most beautiful season of my life, for having met wonderful people like you, and for all the wonderful times we shared."
