Due to his skill with the ball in his hands, the Brazil international is essential to the team's play out from the back.
Ederson, the goalkeeper for Manchester City, won't alter his style of play to take a safer route in the Champions League final.
Due to his skill with the ball in his hands, the Brazil international plays a crucial role when the team plays out from the back, but when the opposition presses hard, that approach can occasionally put the team at more risk.
But even in a one-off game, where a single error may alter the course of an entire season, Ederson has no intention of taking the safe route against Inter Milan on Saturday in Istanbul.
"We must continue to play the same manner we have been. We cannot alter that merely because we are participating in a championship, he remarked.
"To play, have the ball at our feet, and make passes, we need the right personality. Making errors is unavoidably a part of being a goalkeeper, defender, or member of any team.
"We all have the capacity to make mistakes, whether they occur in the first or the final game of the season, but we must maintain the same attitude to play."
That mentality includes the capacity to maintain composure under duress and avoid letting setbacks derailed the game plan.
Ederson, who placed sixth in the Premier League Golden Glove race, seven behind Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea's 17 shutouts, believes his experience has equipped him with the skills to handle every situation.
"I think any City keeper needs to be calm, to play with personality," added Ederson, who dyed his hair blue after City successfully defended their Premier League title at his daughter's request and will do so once more if they defeat Inter.
Many teams want to pressure us, so you must maintain composure, keep the ball under control, and have the vision to make the right pass.
