The Blues recorded their worst Premier League result in almost 30 years in their first season under Todd Boyley and Clearlake

The Chelsea owners are "optimistic about the future" under Mauricio Pochettino and want to build a team capable of competing to win the Premier League.

Former Tottenham manager Pochettino was hired following Frank Lampard's caretaker management debacle and will officially start on July 1. Boyley and Clearlake are excited about the future. In an official statement released via club channels on Thursday, the ownership group praised the benefits of several changes made over the summer to improve Chelsea's fortunes, including the appointment of Pochettino, the establishment of a new recruiting and recruiting structure, and the appointment of Chris. Jurasek as the new CEO and the formation of a fan advisory board.

"We remain fully committed to the long-term and sustainable success of our association and deliver on our promises," the statement said.

We know the huge potential we have to develop to develop Chelsea FC and we take that role seriously. Everyone who works here is relentlessly focused on moving us forward.

“It is clear that it has been a disappointing season for our men's team and there are many things we can and will do better. During these difficult times, our fans have supported our players and teams across the country and Europe with unwavering loyalty. “We are very grateful for your great support. The atmosphere at the Bridge against Dortmund will stay with us for a long time to come and serve as an important reminder of where we want to be.

“Despite all the challenges of the past year, we are optimistic about the future. We are delighted to welcome Mauricio Pochettino as head coach of our men's team in July. “We are building a modern scouting, talent identification, and recruiting infrastructure across our athletics division, led by Lawrence Stewart and Paul Winstanley, that will help us identify and transform our roster around elite talent, a roster capable of consistently competing. to win the Premiere.” Play leagues, collect national trophies, and compete and win at the highest level of European football.

"We have also appointed Chris Juracek as CEO to drive our business off the field, which in turn will make us more sustainable on the field."
