MAC ALLISTER DESCRIBES MOVING TO LIVERPOOL FOR ?35 MILLION AS A "DREAM COME TRUE."

A year ago



The arrival of the Argentine World Cup winner from Brighton for a cut-rate fee started Jurgen Klopp's team's midfield reconstruction.


Tuesday in Merseyside, Mac Allister passed his medical, and he has already reached an agreement on a contract that will last until 2028.


The 24-year-old said on the official Liverpool website: "It feels amazing." Being here is great, it's a dream come true, and I can't wait to get going.


It's a good thing that everything is finished since I wanted to be in [from] the first day of preseason. I'm eager to get to know my teammates.


The World Cup and the accomplishments with Brighton made it a terrific year for me, but now I need to focus on Liverpool and work on becoming a better player.



After his triumph with Argentina, Mac Allister had a good year, and he also played a key role in Brighton's first-ever qualification for the European Championship.


After the Reds' recent disappointing season, he intends to build on the success of the 2022–23 season and assist the team win more trophies.


Since winning the World Cup, I have stated that I want to win additional trophies, and I believe that this club will assist me in doing so. Winning trophies is a requirement for membership in a major club like this one. Thus, that is what I desire.


Since I've been here, I've been able to witness how huge this club is—from the players to the staff to everyone. I'm very happy.


Additionally, it is a big deal that the midfielder shares a number with Lionel Messi and Diego Maradona, two national heroes.


On their official website, Brighton has also paid respects to the midfielder.


'I'm delighted to have been Alexis' coach; he is a really talented athlete,' Roberto De Zerbi stated. Working with a man who upholds strong, traditional values has also been an honor, and I wish him luck in the future.



Mac Allister will 'always be welcome' at the Amex, said chairman Tony Bloom.

We are so proud of Alexis, and it makes us sad to see him depart, he said. He made history by being the first player from Brighton & Hove Albion to win the World Cup, and he played a significant role in our best-ever season.
