Edinson Cavani, a former Manchester United striker, is close to joining Argentine giants Boca Juniors.
Cavani joined United from Paris Saint-Germain in October 2020.
He signed a one-year contract with the Red Devils, with the option to extend it for another year.
Cavani made an immediate impression in his rookie season for United.
His second season was hindered by recurring injuries and physical setbacks, leading United to release him rather than pursue a prolonged stay for him.
Valencia signed the 36-year-old free agent from Manchester United.Cavani had five goals and two assists in 25 La Liga games for Valencia last season. Valencia had a disappointing season, escaping relegation on the final day of the season.
Boca Juniors, according to Bolavip, are interested in Cavani. While at United, Boca attempted to sign Cavani, but the Uruguayan chose to stay for another season.According to Bolavip, Boca made an attempt to sign Cavani as recently as last summer.
The lure of playing in Europe was too much for Cavani, who chose to join Valencia in Spain.
Cavani's choice was also influenced by the World Cup and the desire to make Uruguay's roster for the tournament, which will be hosted in Qatar.According to Bolavip, Valencia has already decided not to keep the former United striker. Cavani's exit might help the club decrease its pay expenditure at the Mestalla Stadium.
Boca are eager to add Cavani to their ranks and are willing to satisfy his €4 million market estimate.
It appears like a new chapter awaits the ex-United star, who netted 16 Premier League goals for the Red Devils during his tenure in England.

Real Madrid have completed the signing of Newcastle United target Fran Garcia, while Arsenal look likely to lose Brahim Diaz to the Spanish giants.
While a new left-back is undoubtedly high on Eddie Howe's wishlist this summer, Fran Garcia's chances of joining St James' Park have been bleak for some time.
Garcia, who played his way into Newcastle United's radar after an exceptional debut season in La Liga, was set to wind up back at the club where he started his career at their Fabrica academy in February, according to Rayo Vallecano (Daily Mail).
Fran Garcia has agreed to join Real Madrid from Rayo Vallecano, according to a statement on the Real website.
"(He) will stay with the club for the next four years." Fran Garcia will be presented as a new Real Madrid.
Real Madrid and Arsenal are both disappointed.
Last season, Garcia scored twice and assisted on three more goals for Andoni Iraola's surprise presents. He scored against both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
He'll be joining another man at the Santiago Bernabeu for a second chance at life in white.
