Have you seen a foolish rich man before?Kennedy Agyapong slams Annoh-Dompreh for calling him unpresidential.
Kennedy Agyapong vehemently criticizes Annoh-Dompreh for labeling him as unpresidential.
Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, a candidate aspiring to become the president of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has responded to allegations that Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Majority Chief Whip of Parliament, questioned his suitability for the presidency.
During a recent event where Agyapong was engaging with NPP delegates as part of his ongoing campaign, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central criticized the lack of progress in mining communities across the country. He took the opportunity to criticize Annoh-Dompreh and firmly express his stance on the matter.
According to an audio recording uploaded to YouTube by Oman Channel, Agyapong stated, "When you come here to mine gold, the first thing we should prioritize is your corporate social responsibility. Ensure that people in the mining areas are well taken care of. One of my managers is from Abirem, and when you visit Kenyasi and Babiani and witness the stark contrast between the gold being mined there and the living conditions of the people, even the poor are being forced out of their homes. Goodness!"
Agyapong further emphasized, "I will not tolerate this." He deemed it ineffective and expressed his unwavering belief in Ghana, saying, "Ghana comes first. We will come to an agreement, and if you fail to bring peace to Ghana, the gold will remain in the ground."
Annoh-Dompreh
In response to allegations about his unconventional personality and suitability for the presidency, Agyapong questioned how he could have achieved success in business if he were not capable. Referring to Annoh-Dompreh's similar viewpoint, Agyapong stated, "If I'm not president, how have I achieved all these things in business? How have I succeeded?"
Known for his business acumen, Kennedy Agyapong is determined to address the development disparities in mining communities and safeguard the interests of Ghanaians. As he campaigns for the NPP flagbearer position, Agyapong seeks to showcase his abilities and commitment to Ghana's progress.
