Leeds has confirmed that Aser Ventures and 49ers Enterprises have reached a deal to sell the team.
Andrea Radrizzani will sell his controlling ownership in United and conclude his six-year tenure at Elland Road as a result of recent new negotiations.
In their third season back in the Premier League, Leeds was relegated after failing to escape the bottom three as a result of a succession of subpar performances under Jesse Marsch and then Sam Allardyce.
The transaction won't be finished for a few weeks while the EFL gives its approval; some representatives of the 49ers investment group will need to pass the EFL's Owners' and Directors' Test.
According to a statement, Aser Ventures and 49ers Enterprises have agreed to buy the club, and Leeds United can confirm this.
"Both sides are still working out the details; new information will be supplied soon.
"A speedy return to the Premier League continues to be our only priority.
"We appreciate your ongoing assistance."
The San Francisco 49ers' parent company, 49ers Enterprises, purchased a 15% ownership in Leeds in 2018; by 2021, that stake had grown to 44%.
For 45 million, Radrizzani bought the club entirely in 2017, however his ownership eventually dropped to 56%.
Following Allardyce's departure, Leeds are without a first-team manager and are also in need of a new director of football to replace Victor Orta, who resigned last month.
Andrea Radrizzani, the chairman of Leeds United, has reached an agreement to transfer his majority ownership of the team to 49ers Enterprises.
As a result, the American investment firm, who has been a minority shareholder in Leeds since 2018 and is the owner of the NFL team San Francisco 49ers, will acquire full ownership.
According to a release, "Leeds United can confirm that Aser Ventures and 49ers Enterprises have reached an agreement for the purchase of the club."
"Both sides are still working out the details; new information will be supplied soon.
"A prompt return to the Premier League remains our sole goal,"
