He leaves after three years with the club.
After his resignation from the Staggies was made official, Alex Iacovitti thanked Ross County for "an incredible three years."
The 25-year-old former defender for Scotland's Under-21 team relocated from Oldham to the Highlands in 2020, playing 116 games and scored 12 goals for the Dingwall club.
Iacovitti is leaving County on a free-of-contract basis after they narrowly avoided relegation to the Premiership with a victory against Partick Thistle in the play-off.
In a message posted to the Staggies website, he said, "First I'd like to place on record my thank you for an incredible three years at the club." "I've enjoyed my time in the Highlands and am grateful to have made it my home at this time.
"The fans were great to work with the entire time I was here, and I will always have a soft spot in my heart for them for how they treated me.
The teammates I had at the club are also a great group of guys. Unfortunately, I was unable to participate in the play-offs because of an injury I had battled through before it finally caught up with me.
"I was overjoyed that the club kept their place in the Premier League, where they belong.
"I wanted to thank each and every one of you for your support throughout and wish you all the best for the future, as well as the club. In the future, as a County supporter, I'll return to the venue to see a game.
County will promptly make public the complete facts of its retained/released list.
