In March, the former England goalkeeper was persuaded to come out of retirement.
After returning to the English Football League, Wrexham has re-signed Ben Foster to a one-year deal.
The 40-year-old former England goalkeeper was lured out of retirement in March to join the club's aspirational up-leveling strategy by co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
His outstanding stoppage-time penalty save against fellow promotion contenders Notts County in April, which kept Wrexham ahead 3-2 and propelled them to the top of the standings, was one of the National League's highlights of the season.
With one game left, Phil Parkinson's team won the championship, ending their 15-year spell in the fifth division.
Foster, who was most recently a member of the Watford team that competed in the Premier League last season, stated on the club's official website: "At the end of last season it was evident that I enjoyed being at the club, I loved being a part of the team, and everything that Wrexham stands for.
"The fans accepted me so well, Phil Parkinson is brilliant, Steve Parkin is a first-rate assistant manager, Aidan Davison, the goalkeeping coach, is my absolute favorite, and the co-chairmen are extraordinary," said the fan.
"I had already made up my mind to do it at the end of the previous season because it seems like home. I've never been settled in so quickly after joining a football team.
18 years after winning the LDV Vans Trophy while on loan from Stoke in 2005, Foster won his second trophy for the club by keeping three clean sheets in eight appearances.
"We're thrilled that Ben has signed for the upcoming season," stated Parkinson.
We are all looking forward to working with him again next season because we all noticed the influence he made not only on the field but also around the training facility.
Ben Foster will remain at Wrexham for one more year after being promoted.
