Beyond Friday, Sheikh Jassim's fifth and final offer to purchase Manchester United will still be on the table, but the Qatari's tolerance for the takeover procedure is waning.

It is believed that by Friday United's owners, the Glazer family and the Raine banking group, who are handling the sale process, will have had ample time to seek or request clarification and revision of the bid, and that the Sheikh and his Nine Two Foundation, which is seeking to buy 100% of the club, will no longer engage with them on it beyond this date.

According to some commentators, Sheikh Jassim's two further offers indicate that his offer is superior to Sir Jim Ratcliffe's.

The Qatari, according to sources close to him, is merely eager to resolve the situation quickly because the summer transfer window, which will be very important for United, is about to open.

The fifth and final offer was made earlier this week, and Sheikh Jassim believes it represents a significant premium above the club's current share price, as well as any previous share price level.

On April 28, Ratcliffe reportedly offered a better offer. The Ineos team has not corroborated the claim that his offer allows Avram and Joel Glazer to keep a 20% ownership position in the club.

According to reports, the Glazers value the club at £6 billion.

This is a crucial time for United both on and off the field. In Erik ten Hag's first season as manager, United won the Carabao Cup, placed third in the Premier League, and lost the FA Cup final on Saturday.

Avram Glazer, a co-owner, attended the 2-1 loss to Manchester City on Saturday at Wembley. As he left past the interview area, he did not answer any questions concerning the takeover.

United manager Ten Hag said when asked about the probable acquisition and summer upgrades: "I guess at this time I don't want to discuss it.It has to do with wrapping up the season. We must remain silent, examine the season in detail, draw the appropriate conclusions, and then act.
