After a disastrous Premier League season, Chelsea's owners hired Mauricio Pochettino to turn things around. They believe they are still committed and enthusiastic about the future.

After firing Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter and failing to see any progress from interim manager Frank Lampard in the final 11 games of the season, the consortium led by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital has had a difficult first 13 months in command at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea's 12th-place finish was their worst since 1994, and the owners have faced harsh criticism after spending more than 600 million on players in their first two transfer windows.

However, they are optimistic that the hiring of former Tottenham and Paris St. Germain manager Pochettino will turn things around.

Just over a year has passed since we finished buying Chelsea. Being the stewards of our magnificent club was and is an honour for us, the owners wrote in an open letter.

"We remain steadfastly committed to our club's long-term sustainability and to keeping the promise we gave you. "We take our responsibility to grow Chelsea FC seriously, knowing the enormous potential we have to work with. Everyone who works here is utterly committed to moving us ahead.

There is no doubt that our men's team has had a dismal season and there is plenty we can and will improve on.Despite all the difficulties of the previous year, we have hope for the future. In July, we will officially introduce Mauricio Pochettino as our men's team's head coach.

"We are constructing a cutting-edge scouting, talent-identification, and recruiting infrastructure within our sporting department, led by Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley, which will assist us in identifying and reshaping the squad around elite talent, a squad capable of consistently challenging to win the Premier League, raise domestic cups, and compete and win at the highest level in European football."

In order to advance our business off the field and increase our viability there, we have also appointed Chris Jurasek as CEO.

Chelsea's women's squad has excelled this season while their men's team has faltered, and the owners have nothing but admiration for manager Emma Hayes.
