?I. Just as iron is eaten away by rust, so are the envious consumed by their envy: One thing I have personally learned about envy is that it eats you up and doesn't add any good results to your life. You keep feeling pain for someone's achievement and the get stuck in that but been happy for others' success will rather help us and make us succeed too.
II. You can accomplish by kindness what you cannot do by force: When you are kind to people, it's easier to convince them to do something for you but using force on them will rather reduce your chances.
III. Success consists of going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm: I read a book titled "You Failed So What" by Ghanaian author Tetteh Nettey and he said something in chapter 2 which is a quote from Lord Chesterfield that; "Know the true value of time, snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it. No idleness, no laziness, no procrastination, never put off till tomorrow what you can do today."
So since there's time, failure is not an excuse.
IV. Don't make yourself miserable with what is to come or not to come: My mom once told me that the best way to avoid disappointment is to expect nothing even if it's a promise from someone you most trust. They are human and can still fail. So when you are expecting nothing and it comes you are happy and if it doesn't too you are happy regardless.
V. Mastering others is strength, mastering yourself is true power: One of the greatest things we can have in this life is self-control and self discipline. Being able to master ourselves will help us to master others and by doing so we keep growing mentally and know how to approach situations of life more reasonably.
