Man City owner Sheikh Mansour to attend only second game ever with Champions League final
It will be the first time in 13 years that Manchester City's elusive boss has appeared.
Sheikh Mansour is expected to attend only his second game against Manchester City in Istanbul tonight.
The Abu Dhabi-based owner has pumped more than £1 billion into the club since coming to power in 2008.
But he was an infrequent visitor to games attending only one game in 15 years - when City beat Liverpool 3-0 at the 2010 Etihad.
The Muslim who chose to watch City's matches at home at Emirates bought City with the intention of bringing them to the top of Europe. However, he chose not to attend the last Champions League towns, the final against Chelsea and Porto two years ago.
City fans will be hoping his appearance in tonight's final against Inter Milan in Istanbul bodes well for their chances.
Guardiola's side are strong contenders to finally win the European Cup after years of failing at the final hurdles.
This time around, City will be heavily dependent on the contribution of rookie Erling Haaland, who has been spotted since joining from Borussia Dortmund last summer.
Haaland has broken records throughout the season to win the Premier League Golden Shoe, but the Norwegian striker is not overly confident about the Istanbul game. The striker even expressed concern about the growing pressure.
“Of course, I feel the pressure. I'd be lying if I said I don't know," he said this week while building the game.
"You say it yourself and it's true - they won the Premier League without me, they won every trophy without me. So I'm here to try to do something that's not true. the club has never done it before and I will try my best."
When asked what it means to beat City in a tournament that has let them down for 11 years, Haaland added:
