Manchester United are said to have "lost hope" of landing Harry Kane this summer as Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy continues to stand his ground.

Erik ten Hag has seen Kane as the man to tackle United's scoring problem ahead of the transfer window but is thought to be able to miss his main target.

Kane has just one year left on his Spurs contract and there is optimism at United that he could finally be moved out of north London. However, The Times reports that Old Trafford chiefs are now losing faith in the possibility of a deal.

Tottenham have made an 'official offer' of £18.8m for a Danish centre-back, while a report has claimed the Man Utd, Man City and Wolves stars are also interested in the deal. Angel Postecoglou revolution subsided.

The alarming defensive record is one of the main reasons why Tottenham have had a difficult season this year.

Indeed, Spurs' 63 goals have placed them sixth in the table. The teams that have conceded the most are ranked 15th, 16th, 18th, 19th and 20th.

Clearly, new boss Postecoglou needs to address his team's weak defence, and according to reports, this will likely be done through the help of the transfer market. Indeed, with Joe Rodon's frequent move to Rennes having failed, the north London defenses could now increase to five.

In addition to Rodon, for whom Spurs are likely to receive an offer, the Telegraph has named Clement Lenglet (out on loan), Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez and Ben Davies as possible substitutes.

Four of those five are centre-backs, meaning at least two new signings need to be made if Spurs are serious about overhauling their backline.

To start the game, reports from Turkey (quoted by Spurs Web), bring the news of an offer that has been submitted to Victor Nelsson of Galatasaray.

The 24-year-old Denmark international has been in Türkiye since arriving from Copenhagen in 2021. The right-footed player regularly starts for Galatasaray, who has shown the worst defensive ability in this year's Super Lig. Galatasaray won his 23rd tournament title, beating closest opponent Fenerbahce by 8 points.

Spurs are said to have made an 'official bid' worth 22 million euros (about £18.8 million). According to reports, it was not accepted, despite a slight increase of 25 million euros (approximately £21.4m) will see Galatasaray say yes.

Man Utd, Man City, Wolves want stars

In another development, 90 Minutes revealed who else is in the sights of Tottenham.

Online shops say Harry Maguire, Aymeric Laporte and Max Kilman are also on the agenda in north London.

The Telegraph and Daily Mail recently reported that Man Utd is preparing to recruit Maguire this summer. Both newspapers reported that Tottenham were interested in the 30-year-old English player. talkSPORT later reported that Maguire was being obstinate and would not leave Old Trafford without a fight. If the player doesn't want to move, Spurs could be better served by chasing goals instead.

Laporte is another name on Tottenham's radar and City will not stand in his way if the 29-year-old leaves.

Laporte is no longer playing regularly under Pep Guardiola and City have also opened talks over the signing of £97m RB Leipzig ace Josko Gvardiol.

The latest player to be quoted for 90 minutes is Wolves' Max Kilman. Of the trio, he seems to be the easiest to sign.
