Grealish, who has enjoyed a great campaign, played the whole game but struggled to make an impact in a game with few chances. When asked by BT Sport to sum up his feelings after the final whistle, he admitted:
"I don't know. This is exactly what you've been working for all your life. I'm so happy, man.
Grealish, who couldn't hold back her tears and in a hoarse voice, added:
"I'm awful today. I don't care. Winning the treble, with this group of players, is so special. Everyone who knows me knows what kind of family I am and how much I love football, that's my whole life.
Her very moving interview continued, talking about her own family:
"You think about all the people who've helped you along the way and I see my family in the crowd, and it's so emotional."
