Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp still wants to invest in his midfield after signing Alexis Mac Allister.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is said to want to prioritize pursuing Manu Kone's transfer after the Red Devils confirmed the signing of Alexis Mac Allister. Klopp still wants to continue to strengthen his midfield and is said to believe that the young Borussia Mönchengladbach star should be his next target.

The Premier League side have identified the midfielder as a key area of interest ahead of the summer transfer window. A number of key midfielders struggled to hit form last season, while longtime players James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have all left. The arrival of Mac Allister was confirmed last week but Liverpool are keen to continue adding to Klopp's midfield options. A move for French U21 talent Kone will be the next priority.

At least two more midfielders could apparently arrive at Anfield before the start of the 2023-24 campaign. Kone is said to top the three-man shortlist alongside Bayern Munich's Mason Mount and Ryan Gravenberch.

According to the Mirror, Liverpool are negotiating with Gladbach for a fee of £ 30 million. Of the three players identified by Klopp, Liverpool are clearly the most confident in signing the 22-year-old, who played 30 Bundesliga games last season.

The Anfield team are not giving up on Mount, who looks set to move from Chelsea to Manchester United. The England star is said to have agreed terms with the Red Devils, while talks continue over a £50m deal.

Meanwhile, fellow Liverpool target Gravenberch could be allowed to leave Bayern this summer. The longtime Bundesliga champions paid £20m for the former Ajax ace last summer but could be tempted to part with the Dutchman for the right price. Training session in Liverpool

The moves to add the midfielder come after Liverpool confirmed the arrival of Mac Allister from Brighton. The Red Devils have agreed a deal worth around £35m to sign the World Cup champions.

Klopp spoke enthusiastically about his new signing, telling the club's official website:

“We are adding a very talented, very smart and very technical boy to our team and that is really great news.

"I don't think the world of football needs me to talk too much about Alexis' qualities as they are already quite famous but he is clearly someone who can play in many positions in the middle of the pitch and is very versatile. , I will tell. He's calm, composed, and someone with good game intelligence."
