Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has criticized CBS Sports' panel of experts for asking "embarrassing questions" in an amusing interview about the Champions League final after the game.

The 22-year-old Norwegian, who finished this season's European campaign as top scorer with 12 goals, was not at his best in Saturday night's final against Inter Milan.

A second-half strike from Rodri closed the story, but it can at least be said that Haaland's substantial contribution throughout his treble campaign was crucial.

He has scored 52 goals in 53 games in the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League - a first season he was even more unpredictable after moving from Borussia Dortmund for £51m.

Along with his efforts on the pitch, his outgoing personality also plays an important role. Haaland's spirit is evident throughout, but in his post-match interview with CBS Sports on Saturday night, he spoke freely to Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards.

When asked about his pre-match mood, Haaland replied:

"I have to say I'm really nervous. I felt it in my stomach today."

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher then asked:

"Anywhere else?" — a question that left host Kate Abdo wondering what it meant. Haaland sure knows...

Here's how social media responds to engagement. One person said:

“Haaland is the type to always ask what people are wondering,” while another wrote:

"Haaland seems like a nice guy, I don't know."

The third added:

"Haaland, it's all of us, why do they always ask such awkward questions?"

As well as that delightful chat with CBS, Haaland joined former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli in his post-match interview with BT Sport.

In fact, the pair shared a special moment, when BT decided to broadcast a scene of young Haaland playing with the word 'Balotelli 45' on the back of his shirt.

The Italian responded to the video saying:

"I don't know. Very good. He studied well," before adding:

"I think he's amazing. "He's like a predator in the box. Obviously outside he has a great sprint, he's fast - but he can score. You have to pass the ball to him, but out of five chances he scored five goals, an incredible striker."
