While some people timed their rise to coincide with the campaign's peak.

An outstanding season's finish might position a young talent for an outstanding second season.

Five rising stars who made their mark in the season's closing months are highlighted by Mail Sport and are predicted to make a significant effect in the years to come.

And given the season Brighton had, it's not at all surprising that they were able to smuggle a few spots on this list.

Toby Jones

Curtis Jones' first season with the Liverpool first team couldn't have gone any better, in our opinion. Jones became a first team player despite making his club debut in an FA Cup third-round loss in 2019.

The then-18-year-old was a key member of the Reds team who defeated Everton in the FA Cup. He scored the game-winning goal, a curling 20-yard wonder strike, to secure a storied victory. The kid played a total of six games in the league and scored his first league goal against Aston Villa during the exhilarating highs of that season, earning him a Premier League winners medal.

His 2021–22 season, in which he played 24 times in the Premier League and five times in the Champions League, was derailed by injury. Jones struggled to make it off the bench on gamedays after missing eight games due to an eye condition.

He had a poor start to the recently finished season as he once more battled injuries. But he completed the

Colwill, Levi

Few people were aware of Brighton's season-long pursuit of Chelsea's teenager Levi Colwill when Brighton defrauded Chelsea for £60 million in the Marc Cucurella transfer last summer. The Seagulls' lone oversight in not include a buyout option in his short-term contract would be their one regret.

The 20-year-old, who spent the previous season on loan at Championship Club Huddersfield, made a few substitute appearances before getting his first start in the lineup after Roberto De Zerbi joined the organization.

For a span of five games either side of the World Cup, the youthful player paired Lewis Dunk in the center of Brighton's defense. This stretch includes the 3-0 thrashing of Liverpool in January.

However, a muscular injury acquired after the match ended his outstanding run, forcing Colwill to postpone his next taste of Premier League play until March. The seasoned left-footed defender played in seven of Brighton's final ten matches as the club achieved its best-ever finish.

Colwill has distinguished himself as one of England's top young center backs thanks to his exceptional left foot strength. Chelsea, his parent club, have taken notice as a result and are unlikely to be duped again.

According to a recent report from Mail Sport, the Seagulls are considering a £40 million deal for Colwill after Chelsea earlier rejected a $ 30 million offer.
