Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is said to have a 'forbidden dream' of beating Arsenal's £92million move for Declan Rice and bringing him to Anfield. The West Ham midfielder looks set to leave the London Stadium this summer with Arsenal considered the favorites to get his signature.

Liverpool went through a miserable 2022/23 season when they finished 5th in the Premier League table and missed out on a place in next season's Champions League. And Klopp has kicked off his summer transfer endeavors by signing Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton for £35m.

However, Klopp will not want to stop spending there and will be keen to bring in a host of talent to improve his squad over the summer. And Italian football journalist Rudy Galetti thinks Rice could be on the German's radar.

Galetti told GIVEMESPORT: "A small revolution awaits in Liverpool's midfield following the arrival of Mac Allister from Brighton. "There will be other signings for sure, Declan Rice is definitely Klopp's forbidden dream."

All three Liverpool midfielders Fabinho, Thiago and Jordan Henderson have struggled in form in the past 12 months. And a world-class midfielder will be in Klopp's plans. The Reds look set to sign England's Jude Bellingham after the ace's impressive display at last year's World Cup. But they pulled out of the race to sign the 19-year-old before he could agree a deal with Real Madrid.

Rice is a player arguably equal to Bellingham and has time and again showcased his extraordinary talent for club and country in recent years. But he is believed to be close to signing for Arsenal in a £92m deal. And Klopp will have to act quickly if he wants to change the 24-year-old's destination. rice

The Liverpool 23/24 home jersey pays homage to the club's past, as well as its partner Nike, with strong 1970s influences. Iconic red, collared top. The sleeves and collar are in bold white, which really speaks to the classic Liverpool FC style while adding a cool retro touch.

"I think it has to be," West Ham owner David Sullivan said last week when asked by talkSPORT if the European Conference League final would be Rice's last game for the Hammers. “We promised him he could go. He went there by himself. You couldn't ask for a man to be more committed to us this season. In due time, he had to show up and we had to find a replacement - or more replacements.

"That's not what we want to happen. We offered him £200,000 a week 18 months ago. He refused it. It cost him £10m to stay at West Ham during that period [in a state of pay loss]. And he wants to leave. You can't keep a player who doesn't want to be there.
