Gareth Bale risks Cristiano Ronaldo's anger in the Champions League final if Lionel Messi wins.

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have long fought for the title of greatest player in football history, with Gareth Bale now siding with the Portuguese after playing alongside him.

Gareth Bale has risked Cristiano Ronaldo's fury by selecting Lionel Messi as the best player to ever win the Champions League.

Messi and Ronaldo have long fought for the title of best player in football history, earning a slew of big trophies along the way. Ronaldo has won the European Cup five times, twice with Manchester United and once with Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, his arch rival, Barcelona, won it four times despite only appearing in three finals. Bale, on the other hand, believes Messi, not his former Madrid teammate, is the finest to have won Europe's premier championship.
The former winger, who retired after the World Cup, was taking part in a lightning-quick Q&A with PlayStation House. "Best player to have won the Champions League?" the broadcaster asked the Welsh legend.

Bale immediately reacted with "Messi," preferring the Argentine attacker over former teammate Ronaldo. During their tenure at the Bernabeu, there were allegations of a schism between Bale and Ronaldo.

But Bale responded quickly to dispel those rumors, stating that he enjoyed playing with the Los Blancos star. He had also suffered resistance from numerous Madrid fans, although he downplayed the impact on his career.

"Cristiano is an incredible player, and I had a great time playing with him." Obviously, the media attempts to create problems that do not exist. "We got along great," Bale continued.

"He is an incredible player, and what he did for the club with the number of goals he scored is incredible." He was a fantastic player who is still active today. I remember my unveiling at the stadium, and there were maybe 40,000 to 50,000 people there, and I was like, 'Oh my gosh.'

"It felt incredible to finally be there because it had been a long road in that transfer window." I was grateful for everything Tottenham had done for me. But I believe they realized at the time that with such a large club

"Even though I was enjoying my time at Tottenham and still love the club, you will regret saying no if Real Madrid comes calling."

Bale's decision to crown Messi represents a significant shift in his opinion of the famous combo. When he was still with Real Madrid, the Welshman made it obvious that he preferred Ronaldo in the pair argument.

"For me, personally, I would say Ronaldo," he remarked. He possesses the entire package. He is strong, powerful, quick, and can head or hit the ball. You can not say anything terrible about Messi, but Cristiano Ronaldo is the all-around complete footballer."
