Kevin Schade, a German forward, has officially joined Brentford for an estimated club-record cost of roughly Ł20 million.
Schade, 21, originally joined the Bees in January on a loan deal from Freiburg and has since signed a five-year deal.
"When Kevin joined us on loan in January, we agreed with Freiburg that the move would become permanent this summer if certain conditions were met, including Brentford remaining a Premier League team for next season," Brentford director of football Phil Giles said on the club's official website.To have Kevin with us until 2028 is excellent for the club since we have all been satisfied with his performance thus far, both on the field and in his professionalism off it.
In January, Schade came on loan from Freiburg and played 19 times for Thomas Frank's team.
The 21-year-old, who has played twice for Germany at the international level, has now committed to the Bees for a "club record fee" on a five-year deal.
Phil Giles, director of football at Brentford, stated: "To have him with us now until 2028 is fantastic for the club."
Keane Lewis-Potter, who arrived from Hull last summer for Ł16 million, with an option to increase to Ł20 million, set the previous record for the club.

Schade made his FA Cup debut on January 7 against West Ham in a 1-0 loss at Gtech Community Stadium. Frank has called up the Germany Under-21s team for this summer's European Championships, which will be held in Georgia and Romania between June 21 and July 8.
