UEFA has named Rodri the Champions League player of the year. Erling Haaland won the season's best goal award, and seven Manchester City players were nominated to the team of the year.

Along with Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois of Real Madrid, Inter's Federico Dimarco and Alessandro Bastoni were also chosen.
Haaland, who scored an incredible goal against his previous club Borussia Dortmund in the group stages of City's 2-1 victory, won the season's best goal award for City. He did this by twisting to turn Joao Cancelo's curling pass into the goal.Rodri acknowledges that his goal might have been the most significant in Manchester City's history.

The 26-year-old is now hoping that City can build on their historic victory in the European championship to create a long-lasting dynasty.
