There are a lot of well-to-do people out there who have made it through their hard work or talent but have neglected their community, friends, parents, and even those who helped them achieve that feat. The problem most of the Ghanaian and African communities face is the lack of support from the well-to-do people in our vicinities.

It takes a lot of heart, dedication, commitment, and desire for a well-to-do person or a successful person to help his or her community. A lot of prominent and wealthy people don't care about their community or where they are from because they think they have already made it and will not need any form of assistance from others.

The Bernard Morison Foundation commissioned the borehole.

There is this certain Ghanaian professional football player who plays for a Tanzanian Premier League club called Young Africans. With the exception of his amazing football skills, techniques, and experience, he is also a philanthropist, a donor, and a sponsor of many programs across Sekondi-Takoradi, especially in his community of Effiakuma, where he hails from. The name of this man with many hearts is Bernard Morrison.

Bernard Morison has been a blessing and an asset for his community, Effiakuma, in the Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly. He launched his own foundation called the Bernard Morison Foundation to help give back to his community and to help solve some of the water, health, sanitation, sports, and education problems in the community.

The foundation is purely a registered charitable foundation, or the BM3 Foundation, as it is effectively called. The former Ashanti Gold, Hearts of Lions, and Simba FC striker has been very supportive in promoting and fishing talent through the organizing of football matches through his popular project dubbed "Soccer Fest."

The Bernard Morrison Foundation has also helped curb some of the water crises in the Effiakuma community and environs. He commissioned a brand new borehole for the Frafra line and the Effia community, all suburbs of Effiakuma and Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana.

The philanthropist donated a well-mechanized borehole and a polytank that are still helping the above-mentioned community solve the water shortage crisis for over five thousand residents in the vicinity. According to sources, the borehole project cost the foundation an excess of GH57,000 to complete and make it ready for the community. He is also a regular donor for the aged, poor and needy as well as a father to many orphanages in the Western and central regions.
