The Danish midfielder has joined his team in preparation for their match against Northern Ireland on Friday in Copenhagen. On Monday, they will travel to Ljubljana to face Slovenia.
Despite training with Denmark now that the Premier League season is finished, he managed to sustain what appears to be an eye injury.
Eriksen was seen with purple bruising on his eyelid and surgical type above his left eye socket.
He smiled and posed for photos for the Danish FA's Instagram account, seemingly unaffected by the obviously severe injury.
'He's been sewed up and is ready,' they said with a photo of the United midfielder doing floor exercises while putting up both thumbs for the camera.
Along with the selfie, which featured his eye, he added the caption, "And everything is ok."
When the player posted a photo of the team's open training session to Instagram and apologized for not signing autographs because he had to get stitched up, it appeared as though he was implying that the problem may have originated in the practice.
Eriksen is not only one of the most well-known Danish athletes in the world, but he also has a special place in the hearts of many fans thanks to his shocking collapse during the 2021 European Championship.
Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest during Denmark's opening fixture at the tournament in June 2021, leaving the sporting world in shock after suddenly collapsing on the pitch. Thanks to the speed of Denmark's medical staff and the life-saving operation he underwent in hospital, Eriksen made a full recovery and was fitted with an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) device - which has not only allowed him to continue living but also to carry on playing football. After his shock collapse he left Inter - where he was playing at the time - joining Brentford the following January on a short-term deal, before United sealed a free transfer in summer 2022.
