The Bundesliga duo are in high demand across Europe and are ready to leave Leverkusen as the team gets ready to sell two of its key players.
After Diaby's outstanding season in Germany, Mail Sport reported on Monday that the Red Devils are interested in discussing a transfer for him.
In the meantime, United boss Erik ten Hag is said to be a fan of Frimpong as he looks to improve his team's alternatives at right-back during the upcoming transfer window.
According to the German publication Kicker, Diaby and Frimpong, who both have two years left on their Leverkusen contracts, are on a list of players the club is reportedly willing to sell this summer.
Both players' contracts are apparently not going to be extended, therefore in order to keep them from becoming unrestricted free agents when their contracts expire, they will need to be traded during the next two windows.
The German club has historically sold players before they reach their final 12 months of eligibility, as was the case with Chelsea's acquisition of Kai Havertz in 2020.
Jadon Sancho, whose relatively brief Red Devils tenure has seen him struggle with form, is seen by United as being replaced by Diaby, who has expressed interest in joining the Premier League.
Arsenal and Newcastle are also interested in the winger, although Leverkusen will demand roughly £65 million for him.

The defender reportedly prefers a move back to England over anywhere else in Europe and previously started his career in Manchester City's academy.
Under Xabi Alonso, Diaby had a productive season, scoring nine league goals and making an impression with an additional five goals in European play.
The 23-year-old has advanced through the French national team system, earning more consistent playing time for Les Blues.
Similar to how Frimpong's standing in the Dutch national team is expanding despite not yet making his debut, he was picked to their World Cup squad for Qatar.
