After what can only be described as a season-long poor performance, Mauricio Pochettino has quite a bit of work to do to turn the tide at Chelsea.
Having crossed paths with Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter and Frank Lampard during his first year at the club, Todd Boehly has now turned to Pochettino to improve things.
A year after losing his job at Paris Saint-Germain, it is likely that Poch has gone to a club that looks even more like a madhouse, which is very impressive.
Despite the bad season they left behind, the team should still be in the top four, so we've outlined what needs to be done to make that happen next May.
The most important thing
No matter what Bohely does next year, he needs to trust the people he has appointed to do their jobs and not be tempted to keep visiting the dressing room. Above all, he must trust Pochettino, whose time at Tottenham Hotspur has proven he is better when given time to develop his team.

The boss got away with firing Tuchel to make room for his men and the position Potter left behind was virtually untenable, but Poch must be given at least the next two years.
Failure to do so will only result in a very quick reset again, while the "hire them/fire them" model has worked for Roman Abramovich, that doesn't mean the new owner should obey it.
It's rare for a team to spend 600m on transfers in just one year and somehow forget to sign a world-class striker, but that's exactly what Chelsea have done. The only No 9 they signed was Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and that turned out as bad as everything else at Stamford Bridge last year.
Only Wolves, Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth, Everton and Southampton have scored fewer goals and Kai Havertz has scored seven.
Christopher Nkunku appears to be on his way to RB Leipzig and he has scored 36 Bundesliga goals in the last two years, which should be an improvement.
If Pochettino really wants to ignite the bridge between north and west London, he should make a bold offer to Harry Kane.
It can be said that for Pochettino, getting rid of players is much more important than who will come on, especially after a number of players were forced to change in the corridor of the club's training ground recently.

Up to 15 players are rumored to be arriving at Stamford Bridge, including Mateo Kovacic and Mason Mount.
That could leave the Blues short in midfield now that N'Golo Kante has moved to Saudi Arabia, but that's the case if the new manager is to bring in signings of his own.
Aubameyang is apparently leaving the Premier League for a second time in 18 months and could return to Barcelona, ??a second time in this span.
The club's nearly army of loaned players are likely to be among those who have been transferred or simply temporarily sacked for good. Aubameyang's time at Chelsea was a waste of time for all involved. Image:
