Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior is the biggest increase in market value this summer. His market value has increased to 150 million euros and he was previously valued at 120 million euros.

Vinicius Junior has established himself as one of the best players in the world and arguably the best winger in La Liga at the moment. He is still very consistent in his performances at Real Madrid and can also be considered the best dribbler in Europe's top 5 leagues.

Teammate Eduardo Camavinga has a market value of 85 million euros. Camavinga has established himself as a Real Madrid first-team starter and has seen his position change from midfielder to left-back. Carlo Ancelotti has arranged Camavinga to play at left-back several times during the 2022/2023 season. Although the player did not enjoy playing at full-back, he was unstoppable in his new position.

Barcelona youngster Alejandro Balde has a market value of 50 million euros more than previously valued at 30 million euros. The Spain international has established himself as a first-team starter at Barcelona. Jordi Alba struggled to win game time in the 2022/2023 season and the club's legend was forced to leave Barcelona.

Rodrygo, Frenkie De Jong, Molina, Kubo, Raphinha and Andreas Christensen are the biggest winners in this summer's Market Value Update.

According to Ben Jacobs, defender Josko Gvardiol of RB Leipzig and Croatia is one of Man City's top targets in this summer's transfer window.

The 21-year-old has developed into one of Europe's best young defenders and he's had a stellar 2022/23 season.

Gvardiol was one of the standout players at last year's World Cup as Croatia reached the semi-finals and he has been closely linked with the Premier League.

"Ever since I was a boy, my dad and I watched Liverpool games, and I grew up with them," Gvardiol revealed.

"As I watched football more seriously, I started watching them, and I really wanted the Premier League and Liverpool."

Liverpool have been linked with Gvardiol in recent months. They are looking for a new defender but most of their budget is expected to be spent on new midfielders.

Jacobs has told City fans to keep an eye on Gvardiol as he is one of the club's top summer targets. He also pointed out that Chelsea's Mateo Kovacic would be 'much more accessible'.

"Manchester City have a few priorities this summer. The first is to extend the contract of captain Ilkay Gundogan. The club is waiting for its decision. Nothing has been decided yet, but it will be soon,” Jacobs wrote for Caught Offside.

“In terms of big revenues, keep an eye out for Josko Gvardiol from Leipzig. A large outlay will be required as Gvardiol only renewed his contract with Leipzig last year.

“All clubs are not happy with Leipzig's valuation, which would be at least £85m (€100m). This means paying a world record fee for a defender, currently set at the £80m Manchester United paid Leicester for Harry Maguire in 2019.

"Buying players will be essential if prices fall. Meanwhile, Mateo Kovacic, Gvardiol's Croatia teammate will be much more accessible. Kovacic has agreed personal terms with Manchester City and is optimistic. that a fee with Chelsea could be agreed.

Kovacic's contract expires in 2024 and Chelsea will take advantage of that this summer. Speaking last week about a potential transfer, the midfielder admitted he would 'see what happens'. "I have one more year with Chelsea, this season is terrible. Things are moving in a direction that after five good years I will change, but in football anything can happen. Right now I am focus on Croatia and the Nations League," said Kovacic.

"Manchester City is a top team and deserves to be in the Champions League final. That's what I have to say. Summer is long, let's see what happens.
