As part of their business in the summer transfer market, the Champions League finalists are eager to bring the west London combo to Italy.

While Koulibaly remained at Chelsea but struggled to regain his form throughout their difficult season, Belgian striker Lukaku spent last season on loan with Inter.

With club director Piero Ausilio scheduled to travel to London this week for talks, the Italian team is hopeful of securing loan deals for both players.

Although Lukaku has been asked to train with Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino upon his return to the team, it is anticipated that the striker would still request to depart.

Despite the fact that they are both unpopular at the club, the Blues are still hesitant to let either player go on loan this summer.

Instead, they are hoping to obtain a compensation for Koulibaly, a former Napoli defender who joined last summer but has fallen short of their expectations.

While looking for a potential replacement for goalkeeper Andre Onana, the west London team is also open to negotiations with Inter.

Following his efforts in the Champions League this season, Onana, who served a nine-month doping suspension in 2021, has elevated himself to the top of the goalie market in Europe.

Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga, meanwhile, are unlikely to be awarded starting positions in goal at Chelsea following unsuccessful seasons.

Similar to Koulibaly, who battled to maintain consistency as Chelsea slipped to 12th place this season, Koulibaly developed into one of the top defenders in the world over his eight years at Napoli.

Despite Inter's interest, Koulibaly uploaded a picture on Instagram two weeks ago that suggested he would be staying at Stamford Bridge for the foreseeable future.

Chelsea supporters, he claimed. Your assistance has been a bright spot for us all during a trying time. There are no excuses; everything we do on the field is for you. This season, it was nowhere near enough.

We'll battle to restore your pride, and I won't give up until we succeed. It's currently 2023–2024. Thank you, and I'll talk to you soon.
