After the announcement of Jude Bellingham as the new Real Madrid player signed from Dortmund.
Toni Kroos believes Jude Bellingham will succeed at Real Madrid but warns Eden Hazard has "let his career die" after making such a high-profile move to the club.
Real Madrid officially announced the signing of Bellingham on Wednesday. The England midfielder signed a six-year contract at the Bernabeu after leaving Borussia Dortmund for an initial £85.5 million. That fee could rise to £115m depending on surcharges. This is the second most expensive signing in Real's history, after Eden Hazard, who joined for £130 million from Chelsea in the summer of 2019.
The Belgian will leave Real at the end of this month after agreeing to end his contract a year early, ending a very unfortunate spell in Spain which has been plagued by injury problems. Hazard made just 76 appearances in those four seasons, scoring just seven goals. "It's a lot of money, I think anyone would say it's not a good transfer. But let's be positive."
He added: "Jude is a top player that many teams want because of his quality and age. I usually have a lot of faith in the people who make the decisions. If Real Madrid have spent so much, it is a very good transfer for us."
