Hampton, the goalkeeper for Aston Villa Women, is set to leave the team amid Chelsea links.
When her contract with the Women's Super League team at the end of this month expires, England goalkeeper Hannah Hampton will leave Aston Villa.
The 22-year-old, who left Birmingham and joined Villa in the summer of 2021, has been connected to Chelsea.
Aston Villa Women can confirm Hannah Hampton will depart the club at the expiration of her contract at the end of this month, according to a club statement that was posted on their official website.
Hannah is deeply appreciated by Aston Villa Women, who also wish her luck in her future endeavors.
For Villa, Hampton made 43 appearances across all leagues, and she contributed to Carla Ward's team's fifth-place finish in the 2022–23 WSL.
She was a member of the England team that won the European Championship on home soil last summer and has received two caps at the senior international level.
She was terminated, though, in October of last year because of issues with her attitude and behavior.
Her exclusion came the day after she was dropped out of Villa's squad to play Chelsea, with manager Ward claiming that it was in the 'best interests of the team' following'something happened yesterday'.
Soon after, she was given her spot back in the team, and in March, Sarina Wiegman, the head coach of the Lionesses, praised Hampton's play and noted that Hampton had "needed to sort out some personal issues (and) has done that."

She has since been added to Wiegman's 23-player roster for the World Cup this summer in Australia and New Zealand.
