Chelsea is attempting to negotiate a contract worth more than £80 million with Brighton to capture midfielder Moises Caicedo.


As several Premier League clubs get ready to compete for his signing, the Ecuadorian international has been at the center of discussion in recent weeks.


The Seagulls star, who only signed a new contract at the Amex in March, has drawn interest from league rivals Arsenal and Manchester United, among others.


However, the 21-year-old has become a transfer target for a number of top-flight clubs this summer as they try to strengthen their midfield.


Chelsea has been in constant communication with Brighton management for weeks and is still hopeful of signing the young player.


According to Mail Sport, the Blues intend to strike a deal with the Ecuadorian worth more than £80 million.

Although a price has not yet been set, there is hope that a deal will be reached because the player prefers to join Stamford Bridge.

As part of the agreement to bring Caicedo to west London for the upcoming campaign, several Chelsea players have been offered.
