After agreeing to a one-year contract extension to remain as Huddersfield manager, Neil Warnock will savour playing six of his previous clubs next season.

The 74-year-old, who had previously led the Terriers from 1993 to 1995, came out of retirement in February for a second stint in charge of the team and led them to safety in the Championship.

In their remaining 15 games of the season, the squad posted seven victories and four draws, moving them out of the relegation zone and up to 18th place in the standings.

Middlesbrough, Cardiff, Rotherham, QPR, Leeds, and Plymouth are among the former teams that Warnock will face. He also stated that Carl Serrant and Ian Bennett will join his coaching staff as first-team coach and goalkeeping coach, respectively.

The former manager of Sheffield United is especially eager to face freshly promoted Sheffield Wednesday.

I'm so well-liked at all these clubs, Warnock remarked. You want to ride the bus to Sheffield Wednesday with me; you'll have fun when I get off.I'm the last one to leave. Let them wait till they are all fired up and ready and steam is flowing out of their ears. There are several fantastic clubs there, so I really hope everything keeps going so I may return to these locations once more.

"When you look at our second tier and the rest of the world, the competition and the spectators. I believe it to be much superior to the Premier League.

After passing the English Football League's owners' and directors' test, prospective new American owner Kevin Nagle is expected to soon finalize the takeover of Huddersfield, as was stated by the club on Monday.

"Obviously I spoke to Kevin," said Warnock, "and I've had nothing but fantastic feelings off Kevin. Kevin can hopefully finalize everything in the next few weeks.Sometimes his exuberance makes him seem like a young boy, which is excellent. We can have a successful season if I can help tie everything together and the supporters, too.

In a lighthearted tone, Warnock continued: "Anything's possible in football if you get that dressing room right and the camaraderie and everything, it's incredible what you can overcome.
