Sam Lammers, a recent signing for Rangers on a four-year contract, says Michael Beale's ambition for the Ibrox club impressed him.
The 26-year-old Dutch forward spent the previous season on loan at Sampdoria and Empoli before moving on to Serie A team Atalanta.
Lammers noted how Beale's readiness to fly to Italy to meet with him aided in influencing him to commit his future to the Rangers.
"I am really excited to join Rangers, my first impressions have all been good, so I am even more excited for the season to start now," he said on the Rangers website.
"I met the manager and he came over to see me in Italy, we had a good talk, and he gave me a presentation about the club and about how I could fit in, so ever since that moment I was excited for this project and to get here. "I already knew some things about Rangers, I know the history, and I know it's a massive club in Scotland and also worldwide, but it's always good to have the personal side of it.
Before relocating to Italy in 2020, Lammers started his career at PSV Eindhoven. In 2021/22, he also spent time on loan with Eintracht Frankfurt.
I've known about Sam as a player for a while now," he remarked. I got to know him when he was a young player at PSV and have closely followed his career ever since.
