Lukaku spent last season at San Siro and has interest from Saudi Arabia; Koulibaly might leave Stamford Bridge on loan this summer; and Onana is a long-term objective who is also of interest to Manchester United. Inter director Piero Ausilio was in London for talks with Chelsea.
According to 90min, Chelsea and Inter had fruitful discussions over the futures of Romelu Lukaku, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Andre Onana.
Piero Ausilio, the sporting director of Inter, recently travelled in London to resume talks with Chelsea, who are hoping to sign goalkeeper Onana and transfer Koulibaly and Lukaku back the other way.
Despite the fact that no agreements have been made so far, people familiar with the matter informed 90min that the discussion was fruitful and helped both sides better understand their expectations.
Lukaku was the most prominent subject of conversation because he will be returning to Chelsea this summer when his loan with Inter expires.
Talks on keeping Lukaku, who Inter sold to Chelsea for £97.5 million just two years ago, are still ongoing. Inter has stated their wish to do so. The Blues want to leave for good, but Inter would find it difficult to afford such a move.
Saudi Arabia is also interested in Lukaku, but he has made it clear that staying with Inter is his major goal.
The Serie A team also hopes to work out a deal to sign centre-back Koulibaly on loan, but any deal would likely require funding from either Chelsea or Koulibaly due to the 31-year-old's exorbitant salaries.
Koulibaly's availability has also been made known to Saudi Arabian teams by Blues co-owner Todd Boehly, and the player is reportedly contemplating his options.
In the opposite direction, Chelsea want to recruit goalkeeper Onana but now has competition from Manchester United, who wants to add to David de Gea's rivalry,
United, led by Onana's former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag, is keeping an eye on developments with Chelsea and Inter in the hopes of launching an auction that would drive up the goalkeeper's cost.
